Deity of Compassion

Chenrezig, the deity that represents the loving and compassionate potential of the mind, is the most popular deity of Tibet.

Chenrezig is within us because love and compassion are not qualities added to the mind. These qualities are part of the awakened state even if for the moment this state exists only as a potential for us. (Bokar Rinpoche)

Palpung Yeshe Chökhor is pleased to announce that Choeje Lama Karma Phuntsok will give a teaching on the meditation of Chenrezig. We will share a pot luck luncheon. Please bring a main course to contribute to the communal table.

Teachings & puja with Lama Tenam Aug 20 -21

We are happy to let you know that Lama Tenam from Sherab Ling Monastery in India will give teachings and perform a fire puja at Palpung Yeshe Chokhor Retreat Centre on Aug 20 & 21.Details are provided in the attached flyer click here.
Saturday will feature a full day of teachings .

There will be a morning session from 10 - 12 and an afternoon session from 2-4.

We will have a pot luck lunch at noon. The cost is 40.00.
Sunday Lama Tenam will conduct a fire puja at 3 pm. There is no charge for this but donations are welcome.

Teachings in Toronto and Missiaaauga

At the request of Dharma practitioners in the GTA,Lama Phuntsok will be giving regular teachings in Toronto and Missiaaauga.

There has been curious interest amongst friends the last year for knowledge in Buddhism, and now we are so delighted to gather our efforts to deliver these valuable teachings to you all. For some who do are not aware, Chöje Lama Karma Phuntsok has been teaching in Waterloo region for about 10 years now, and have recently started monthly teachings in Toronto and Mississauga. There is an interest in starting a monthly session in Waterloo soon. We like to extend this message to you one and all and invite you and your friends so that you can benefit from these teachings where you live. Please find attached sorted information about outlines of these teachings which we try to suit to our needs:

A New Home For Palpung Yeshe Chokhor

Thanks to the generous support of devoted students, Thöpaga Foundation is pleased to announce that we have taken the first step towards the fulfillment of our plans to create the Palpung Yeshe Chokhor worship ,study and practice centre. We have purchased a property in Erin Township. This is a desirable location situated within a 90 minute driving distance of Mississauga, Guelph and the Kitchener -Waterloo area. There is a small house on the property that will serve as a residence for Lama Phuntsok as well as the office for Palpung Yeshe Chokhor. Future plans will focus on the creation of a teaching space and meditation hall. In the near future, regular teachings will be offered. Lama Phuntsok will travel to Mississauga, the Kitchener Waterloo area, as well as other locations such as London to offer the authentic teachings of the Palpung lineage.

We have set the moving date for Friday July 9 and Saturday July 10. Friday evening we will need volunteers to help with loading the truck in Kitchener. On Saturday, help would be appreciated at the property for cleaning and unloading. If you are interested in helping, please contact us by email at office@palpung.net.
